Depending on when you arrive, you might take a walk through nearby streets, enjoy the city’s atmosphere, or relax with a cup of Moroccan mint tea. The rest of the day is free to relax and get ready for the journey ahead. Stay overnight in Marrakech.

Day 2:Marrakech Guided Sightseeing Tour

Meet your local guide for a full day exploring Marrakech. You’ll visit some of the city’s most famous sites, including the Koutoubia Mosque, the beautiful Bahia Palace, and the historic Saadian Tombs. The tour continues through the busy souks, where artisans make leather, metalwork, and textiles using old techniques. The day ends at Jemaa el-Fna Square, a lively place with storytellers, musicians, and food vendors. Return to your riad for the night.

Day 3:Marrakech - High Atlas Mountains - Ait Ben Haddou - Ouarzazate - Dades Valley

Leaving Marrakech, the journey takes you into the High Atlas Mountains, where you cross the Tizi n’Tichka Pass at over 2,200 meters high. The route includes scenic stops with views of mountain villages and valleys. By late morning, you arrive at Ait Ben Haddou, a fortified ksar recognized as a UNESCO site.

Walking through its earthen alleys shows the history of ancient trade and famous film locations. After a short stop in Ouarzazate, known for its film history, the road passes through the Valley of Roses, famous for its rose farming. The day ends in the Dades Valley, where dramatic rock formations surround your riad or hotel near the gorges.

Day 4:Dades Valley - Todra Gorge - Erfoud - Merzouga Desert

The route leads to Todra Gorge, where sheer limestone cliffs rise dramatically above a narrow river. Enjoy time to walk between the towering canyon walls and take photos of this natural wonder. Continuing east, pass through Erfoud, known for fossils and desert landscapes, before reaching Merzouga, at the edge of the Sahara.

Here, you mount your camel and trek across the Erg Chebbi dunes, watching the sunset paint the sand in shades of gold and red. At the desert camp, enjoy a traditional dinner, Berber music by the campfire, and a peaceful night beneath a sky filled with stars.

Day 5:Merzouga Desert - Nomads & Khamlia

Explore the desert region by 4×4. Visit nomadic families living in traditional tents and learn about their way of life in the Sahara. Continue to Khamlia village, where locals welcome you with tea and rhythmic Gnawa music.

Later, explore a desert oasis and visit the historic M’ifis mines, once used for mineral extraction. The afternoon is free for relaxation back at your desert camp or a hotel near the dunes.

Day 6:Merzouga - Ziz Valley - Midelt - Azrou - Ifrane - Fes
