You’ll leave Rabat and head toward the Rif Mountains, enjoying scenic landscapes along the way. Rolling hills, green valleys, and traditional villages accompany you as you make your way to Chefchaouen, one of Morocco’s most charming towns.

Upon arrival, you’ll check into your riad or hotel and enjoy free time to explore the city at your own pace. Known for its blue-washed streets and relaxed atmosphere, Chefchaouen is perfect for wandering, photography, and soaking in local life. Depart Chefchaouen and drive through picturesque countryside toward Volubilis, an ancient Roman settlement and UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here, you’ll walk among remarkably preserved ruins, including mosaics, arches, and old Roman roads, while learning about the city’s historical importance.

Next, you’ll continue to Meknes, one of Morocco’s imperial cities. After lunch, you’ll explore the medina and admire Bab El Mansour, one of the most impressive gates in North Africa. You’ll also visit the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail, a significant religious and historical site. In the late afternoon, you’ll travel to Fes, where you’ll settle into a traditional riad for the night.

Today is dedicated to discovering Fes, the cultural and spiritual capital of Morocco. With a knowledgeable local guide, you’ll explore the ancient medina, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the world’s largest car-free urban areas.

Your tour includes visits to the Royal Palace gate, Al-Qarawiyyin University (the oldest university in the world), Al-Attarine Madrasa, Nejjarine Fountain, and the famous Chouara Tanneries. You’ll also explore the Mellah (Jewish Quarter) and learn about the city’s diverse history. The day ends with a panoramic viewpoint overlooking the medina before returning to your riad.

Leave Fes and travel south toward the Sahara Desert. Your first stop is Ifrane, often called the “Switzerland of Morocco,” known for its alpine-style architecture. Continuing through the Middle Atlas Mountains, you’ll stop in a cedar forest where Barbary apes live.

After lunch, the 7 days in Morocco Casablanca continues through the Ziz Valley, famous for its vast palm groves and oasis scenery. In the late afternoon, you’ll arrive in Merzouga, where your desert adventure begins. Ride camels across the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi, stopping to watch the sunset from the top of a dune.

You’ll spend the night in a luxury desert camp, enjoying dinner, Berber music, and a magical atmosphere under the stars.

Wake up early to witness sunrise over the dunes, followed by breakfast at the camp. You’ll then leave the desert by camel or 4×4 and continue toward Dades Gorge.

Along the way, you’ll visit Rissani, an important trading town and former caravan center (market visits depend on the day). You’ll then walk through the dramatic Todra Gorge, with its towering canyon walls and flowing river.

On your final day, you’ll travel toward Ouarzazate, often called the “Hollywood of Africa.” You may choose to visit Atlas Studios, where many international films were shot.

Next, you’ll visit the iconic Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO-listed fortified village famous for its architecture and cinematic history. After lunch, you’ll cross the High Atlas Mountains via scenic mountain roads and panoramic viewpoints. Arrival in Marrakech in the late afternoon marks the end of your Morocco itinerary for 7 days.
